______________________ABOUT MOTOROLA______________________Motorola, or should we say ‘Moto by Lenovo’ has been trying to find its spot ever since brands such as Xiaomi, Asus and Lenovo entered the Indian market. The Moto G was their thing, it was a smartphone and a product category that Motorola came up with, the budget smartphone that offered the perfect balance of specs and value in a package that seemed pretty much perfect.Today, there are more than a handful of brands who are vying for that space, the same category that helped Motorola through tough times. In fact, the Motorola Moto G is touted as the most successful Motorola smartphone of all time.Motorola recently launched Motorola Moto G Turbo Edition with an improved chipset, better resistance to dust and quicker charging at Rs 12,499. So is the smartphone that comes with minor upgrades worth paying for, instead of the standard Moto G?______________________Build and Design: 7.5/10-----------------------------------There’s nothing new in here that would make the Turbo Edition stand out from the standard Moto G (3rd Gen). In short, it is pretty much the same stuff with a few upgrades when it comes to water-resistance. The body is entirely of plastic with metal buttons on the right side that jut out of the body. The front of the device, similar to the older Moto G packs in a speaker at the bottom with top area packing in the receiver and front-facing camera (with the proximity and ambient light sensor squeezed between them).Things remain unchanged on the back as well with a centered elongated patch that contains the camera, dual-tone LED flash and the typical Motorola logo placed on a dimple.Read more › September 30, 2016
I bought this product in March and just after two months display started acting wiered, so went to Dugar Sales Motorola customer service point...believe me Motorola should take Customer service center seriously...they do not meet the standard of company brand...representatives have no courtecy and full knowledge..also lacks soft skill...they replaced the screen took about 10 to 12 days..my phone was repaired prior to this bu no-one bothered to inform me your phone is ready please come and collect. Now few days back same problem accured again and found that new displayed installed was falty so I requested to replace the devise instead of repairing again as i am tired of visiting center again and again and they told they can not replace eventhough it is their fault and i suffer without my phone for 15 days again...Worst after sales experience, will never buy Motorola product ever again July 7, 2016
Hello Friends,I am writing this review after one month of usage. Consider buying it if you find my review helpful.Design and build:You all know it boasts IP67 Dust and Water Resistant which is a good feature esp at this price point and if you open the cover you can see most part of the phone is packed just sd card slot and sim card slots are visible. Its 4.97" screen is protected by Gorilla glass, which prevents scratches and shatters. Looks wise it is quite an attractive phone, its back cover provides good grip too, volume buttons are smooth to press and placed well. At 155gms, it is a little heavy than normal.Screen resolution is 720p but it is OK regarding its screen size. Also, the screen size is 5" but as the phone buttons are itself part of the screen so the effective screen area also gets reduced.Camera:Hmm.. The camera is the thing that can be deciding factor for a phone purchase. Initially, I was not happy with the camera and at first glance, I hated its stock camera app.. focusing was not good, night shots were horrible, daylight shots were not impressing, but after I updated the camera app and the system to Marshmallow the real camera performance came up.Let me clear that it is not a very good camera and like many other phones it performed well in daylight, macros were fine, HDR was also decent, but it suffer at night, in low light, it gives average results but under its dual led flash it managed to give some good clicks. The Camera did not produce good results with the pictures having too many details. So moto g Turbo camera is overall good but it gives the mixed results with different shooting conditions.Software:The software part is the thing, I love about moto phones.Read more › March 30, 2016
