First of all, buy this phone from online retailers only - the Coolpad Cool 1 has two variants - a 4GB RAM version and a 3GB RAM version. If you buy it from your local retailer, you're gonna have to pay ₹13,999 for the 3GB version. For the same price you can get the 4GB version online! This is due to the fact that offline retail products generally go through a lot more middle-men than online ones. The price of the phone, as compared to the features offered, are simply great. It could have been even better if the price were a bit lower to compete with the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Note. The processor which is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octacore processor performs higher than average (when compared to the best) with an AnTuTu benchmark of 79636, which is great for this price range. Other than the 4 primary cores, the processor also has a set of 4 secondary core that handles less CPU intensive tasks, thus reducing the power consumption, giving you better battery life without compromising performance. The primary cores are Cortex A72 based, clocking in at 1.8Ghz while the secondary cores are Cortex A53 based clocked at 1.4Ghz. The 4GB RAM (in the model that I tried) provided exceptional performance with no lag whatsoever. The GPU, Qualcomm Adreno 510 is at par with the old Adreno 330 which means it can handle almost all Full-HD games with no trouble. I was afraid that the performance also meant a poor battery life, but I was pleasantly surprised by the power packed 4000mAh battery! It even supports fast charging!Pros: ✔----------------1. The CPU-GPU combination is more than powerful enough for people who use their phone regularly, even for games.2. Don't worry about the battery life, the 4000mAh battery will easily last the entire day even with moderate to heavy usage.3.Read more ›

After 5 days of usage.Fore most I want to say it has a excellent looking device. It feels nice to have it. In my opinion, I will point out some pros and cons.Pros:Good designStellar battery lifeGood cameras( I think compare to the competitive devices, Front camera is the best among all, but their selling point is dual camera. Yeah, dual camera is also good but not stand out from the competitors and doesn't make any huge difference)Excellent performanceGood memory managementCons:Obviously, no SD cardSome minor UI bugs, EUI feels different, but needs some improvement.Their response from customers are selective, if the query from the customer is having answer, they will reply. For example, I asked them which is the recommended quick charger for cool1. They never replied me. Because it doesn't support quick charge. I also have doubt whether it supports otg. So they are not clear about their specs. For me, it's a great disadvantage.Speaker quality is averageSound while recording video and making call is somewhat low compared to the other phones. Finally a note:This feels more slippery because of the design. Yeah it looks excellent but more slippery and not a single hand usage phone. But overall this phone is really COOL and different. I loved it.

I bought this device on the launch day and received it yesterday. As a brand Coolpad is a new brand in India with only a handful of devices launched in India. In china coolpad is very famous and sells a huge number of phones every year. I have also used a couple of other coolpad devices like the Coolpad Note 3 which was the cheapest phone with a fingerprint when released in India and also the Note 5, which in my opinion was one of the best in its range.--------------#QUICK REVIEW--------------Stories aside ,the Coolpad cool one was released by Coolpad in collaboration with LeEco ,Yes two big companies coming together. The product is designed by LeEco ,thats why it looks a lot similar to the LeEco devices. It is also loaded with the latest version of LeEco OS or EUI.Well you already are aware of its specifications.I will just give you an idea about its functioning#PerformanceIt comes with the latest midrange snapdragon chipset 652, which have 8 cores and offers more than enough performance for a daily user. And yes ,it is clocked at 1.8GHZ.It also houses Adreno 510 GPU which will give you a good gaming performance.I tested it with games like Asphalt 8 and MC ,it worked just fine.#UI performance:I am not a fan of this UI from LeEco ,I actually prefer the normal stock android UI. But I know people who actually love it. Anyway the OS is pretty clean and feature rich at the same time. The notification bar is unique with cool transitions and appearance. The OS is very fluid when you just swipe through the home screen or open any opens. The multitasking is good, because of the extra ram you can open many apps at the same time without running a so called "booster" app. The switching between apps also works fine.Read more ›
