This is my first DSLR. Before this, I use to shoot film. As an amateur photographer, I use it quite often when I go out on tours and events. The camera is very well built. controls are easy as this a professional DSLR. Pictures look sharp. And Canon service center people were very friendly to replace my broken lens for free. I would totally recommend this camera to anyone who is going to use this camera to its full potential and not on AUTO mode.

i've been using canon 60D for 2 years. i use it mostly for video purposes. i loved every bit of 60D, but i had some issues with focus pulling during my shoots. some of the footages came out a little blurry. i am a one man crew, had to do everything all myself. when i came across this dual pixel CMOS technology in the new 70D, i was very much interested in it. waited for 4 months, read many reviews online and finally ordered from amazon.in for a fantastic price. am more than happy, some say its not an actual upgrade from 60D, but trust me..70D shares the auto focus technology as 7D, with quick autofocus lock, has wifi and instant HDR. for me, i see it as 7D in a 60D body with many useful advanced features.as of now, this dual pixel CMOS is available in 70D and movie camera C300.i will definitely recommend this dslr to a prosumer to a small time movie maker.

Amazing camera! About two years now since I purchased it from Amazon. Got it at a very good discount that the price difference compared to today is negligible. A dream of having the first DSLR started long time back and my choices moved from entry level 550D to 600D to 60D. And when I was about to finalize the 60D, the all new 70D popped up in front and bought it after seeing it's advanced features like the Dual-Pixel Autofocus, Touch screen (good for focus pulling in live view), continuous rotating mode dial, W-Fi for remote shooting and wireless file transfer, etc. Setting up Wifi with windows at one point of time was a bit annoying, though the problem was with Windows!Pros :* Dual-Pixel CMOS Autofocus is brilliant and pretty quick in focusing.* Touch screen - Though initially I felt it's just an okay feature, it turned out the touch screen is quite useful in live view focus pulling for photos and videos, adjusting the settings, touch for focus tracking, etc.* 7fps - It is fast, I would recommend a very fast memory card for better use of this in Sports or Action photography. The card that came with the camera is actually slower compared to an UHS-I class 10 card.* W-Fi - Great to have if you're shooting with the camera in a remote place controlling with your smartphones and iPads. You can use the app as a remote. Wireless file transfer and support for DLNA devices are also possible.Cons* Will update this post when I find one!
